One thing I have noted in previous contests USA east coast stations don’t come down to 40m and look for EU earlier enough I can see the NA DX clusters giving me good reports but no NA callers. Here in Europe most RTTY activity during the big contests like CQWW is as followsħ040 to 7060 (sometimes 7065) but also around 7080 to work USAġ4080 to 14150 but avoiding the beacon band 14099 to 14101 On 9/24/21 2:34 PM, David G3YYD via groups.io wrote: Also the 3580-3590 slot has a lot of email by HF activity in there which I seem to manage to camp out on those preordained reserve frequencies every contest as I never can remember. You may want to avoid the bottom 3 Khz of that slot (14.080-14.083 for example) as there is FTx activity on that band. Subject: Re: Common RTTY frequencies list RTTY has relinquished its sole rights to the FT spectrum years ago, or at least since July 2017 when FT8 became available. Seems as if the contest interlopers should listen before they transmit. They basically own it and RTTY has lots of room upband.

Well, they say possession is 9/10ths of the law, and the FT contingent occupies that 3 kHz sub-band 24/7/365 and the RTTY guys a few days a year. On 9/24/21 7:10 PM, Kermit Lehman via groups.io wrote:ĪC0C said: And those guys (FT) seem to be unable to listen before transmitting in some cases.
